Our client, a Darwin-based powerhouse in bituminous sealing and part of a global road surfacing group, is looking for an exceptional Spray Sealing Foreperson to drive high-performance results across the Northern Territory. The Role
This role offers the chance for a motivated to head a dynamic spray sealing crew based out of Darwin, NT. While the position is based at their Darwin Depot, constant travel will be required to all parts of the Northern Territory. This role is ideal for a road surfacing professional who thrives in remote working environments and can confidently take charge of crew and sub-contractor on-site management.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
✔ Supervising Projects: Ensure spray sealing operations meet safety, quality, and performance benchmarks.
✔ Planning & Coordination: Strategically manage road surfacing operations for maximum efficiency.
✔ Leadership & Mentorship: Lead your team to success while fostering a supportive, positive work environment.
✔ Technical Expertise: Interpret spray seal designs, implement best practices, and drive innovation.
✔ Safety First: Enforce OH&S compliance and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
✔ Resource Management: Oversee procurement, equipment mobilization, and labor allocation.
✔ Collaborative Work: Work closely with engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
✔ Hands-On Support: Step in to operate surfacing equipment when needed to meet crew demands.
Experience & Qualifications
🔧 Experience: 10+ years in spray sealing or asphalt laying, with 3+ years in a management role.
🔧 Licenses: HR Heavy Vehicle Licence required (HC preferred).
🔧 Qualifications: Cert III or IV in Civil Construction or equivalent trade qualification preferred.
🔧 Safety & Compliance: First Aid & CPR certifications (advantageous) and a White Card (assistance available to obtain).
🔧 Traffic Control: Traffic control and management certification (assistance available).
