🧰 The Role: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic capabilities and a passion for commercial vehicle repair and maintenance. This is a permanent, full-time position based in the Christchurch Region.
You’ll be joining a modern, well-equipped workshop and working alongside a passionate team. With a mix of vehicles and ongoing projects, no two days will be the same!
This role includes:

Diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a range of commercial vehicles

🛠️ What We’re Looking For:

✅ NZ Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering or
-
City & Guilds, Red Seal, FETAC, Cert III, or 4-year Main Dealership apprenticeship

Vetassess Assessment for Commercial Vehicle Mechanics (International Applicants)

✅ Proven diagnostic and mechanical servicing experience

✅ Ideally, experience with brands like DAF, Kenworth, Cummins, Volvo, Scania, Freightliner, or MACK
-
✅ Class 2 or 4 NZ Driver’s License preferred (not essential)

✅ Strong commitment to Health & Safety (First Aid Certification a plus)

✅ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

✅ Fluent English (required for international candidates)
