This Director of Procurement and Supply Chain is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing procurement, supplier management, and inventory control. You will play a key role in driving cost efficiencies, improving supplier performance, and ensuring operational continuity across manufacturing and project teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain

Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Develop and implement long-term procurement strategies aligned with business growth
  • Establish governance frameworks for purchasing and supplier compliance
  • Report on procurement KPIs, risks, and cost-saving initiatives

Global Sourcing & Supply Chain Management

  • Manage global and regional supplier relationships
  • Lead contract negotiations and supplier agreements
  • Improve supply continuity, pricing, and delivery timelines

Inventory & Cost Optimization

  • Oversee demand planning, forecasting, and inventory strategies
  • Ensure optimal stock levels and replenishment processes
  • Drive cost reductions through strategic sourcing and efficiencies

LEAN & Operational Excellence

  • Implement LEAN procurement practices to improve efficiency
  • Streamline workflows and eliminate non-value-added activities

ERP & Data Governance

  • Ensure accuracy across ERP systems and procurement data
  • Improve reporting visibility for spend and supplier performance

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and lead procurement and inventory teams
  • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications for This Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of procurement/supply chain experience
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong expertise in sourcing, negotiation, and cost reduction
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or construction environments
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP
  • Knowledge of global sourcing and logistics
  • Experience with LEAN methodologies
