Key Responsibilities of the Director Technical Sales and Marketing
Technical Sales Leadership
- Lead the organization’s technical sales strategy across major project pursuits
- Act as a senior technical advisor to clients during concept and proposal stages
- Develop solutions that align client requirements with modular construction capabilities
- Support complex negotiations with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with growth objectives
- Identify high-value opportunities across government, developers, and institutional sectors
- Lead major RFP responses and strategic proposals
- Support pricing strategy and pipeline forecasting
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor Account Executives and Marketing professionals
- Establish performance frameworks and development plans
- Foster collaboration across Sales, Design, and Operations teams
Proposal & Estimating Oversight
- Oversee technical proposals, budgets, and scope development
- Collaborate with estimating teams on cost accuracy
- Ensure alignment between technical requirements and project delivery
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between Sales and technical teams
- Ensure alignment between client expectations and operational capabilities
- Support project handoffs to delivery teams
Marketing & Market Development
- Guide technical marketing content and messaging
- Support development of presentations, case studies, and proposals
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
Client Engagement
- Build relationships with developers, government agencies, and key stakeholders
- Lead executive-level presentations and client discussions
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout early project phases
Qualifications for This Director Technical Sales and Marketing
- Proven leadership experience in technical sales within construction or real estate development
- Experience leading sales teams and complex project pursuits
- Strong understanding of building systems and construction methods
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
