Our client is an established aerospace manufacturing company in Brisbane, Australia producing complex aircraft components for leading global aerospace programs. The company operates modern CNC machining facilities and specialises in high-precision aerospace components and advanced manufacturing systems.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking experienced CNC Machinists and CNC Machine Setter Operators to join the team.

Work with Advanced CNC Technology

You will operate a range of modern machines including:

  • Mazak
  • DMG
  • Makino
  • Doosan
  • Okuma
  • Breton

Controllers include Fanuc, Heidenhain, Celos and Makino Pro, with opportunities to work on 5-axis CNC machining centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling and machining centres
  • Manufacture precision aerospace components
  • Interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Measure finished parts using precision gauges
  • Maintain production and quality documentation

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Trade qualification or equivalent machining experience
  • CNC machining experience (milling or multi-axis machining)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment

Highly Regarded

  • 5-axis CNC machining experience
  • CAM programming (Mastercam or CATIA)
  • Aerospace or high-precision manufacturing experience
  • Experience working within AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems
