The Role

As a Diesel Mechanic, you’ll take on a stand-alone role where you will:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of buses and coaches.
  • Schedule and carry out maintenance tasks independently and in team settings.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical faults.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: At least 3 years of post-trade experience and relevant trade certification.
  • Skills: Outstanding troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Licenses: HR License preferred; Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Preferred Experience: Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, or UD coaches and buses.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across all levels.
  • Safety Focus: Ability to champion OH&S standards in the workplace.

Ideal Candidate

We are prioritizing Australian and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents. If local hires are unavailable, SID Visa Sponsorship is offered for eligible international candidates.

SID Visa Sponsorship Requirements

  • Recognized international trade qualification (e.g., Red Seal, City & Guilds, FETAC).
  • Cert III Trade Assessment or equivalent (UK, Ireland, Canada, EU citizens exempt).
  • IELTS English Certificate (minimum 5.0 in all sections) unless exempt.
  • Financial capability to support your application and relocation.
  • Ready to relocate upon visa approval.

Job Details

  • Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
  • Pay: Starting from $36/hour + Overtime + Superannuation.
