Overview

We are currently seeking 2 excellent Heavy Diesel Highway Truck Mechanics to service, maintain and repair trucks in our client’s workshop to a high standard compliant with manufacturers standards while operating in a safe and enjoyable environment to ensure efficient repairs fixed right the first time. On offer is a very competitive remuneration package and monthly bonuses as well as ongoing in-house training on our client’s products.

We are looking for people who have experience in performing scheduled maintenance services, detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts, dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanism and other components, testing and adjusting mechanical parts, repairing and replacing worn or defective parts

Required Skills:

Current Australian Certified Trade Certificate in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or international equivalent.

Sufficient training and experience to be able to work with minimal supervision Computer literacy Mature and professional outlook Attention to detail

 

Preferred Experience:

Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Certificate Current and valid HR license Experience working with the Scania, Mack, or Volvo HD products

Written communication skills

Benefits

The employer has a history of sponsoring International Applicants, and is offering the TSS / 482 Visa. Salary will be dependant on experience but it is anticipated that with O/T they will be circa $150000 plus 11% Superannuation. Salary will be dependant on experience, and relevancy to the role.

Interviews will be happening locally by telephone and internationally by Zoom / Facetime / Skype over the next few weeks, with a start date asap dependant on Visa Processing 482 Visa (TSS)  Sponsorship

Whilst our client’s preference would be to hire either locally based Australian or New Zealand Citizens, or those International Candidates already holding a Permanent Residency Visa, our client additionally is a registered sponsor of International Workers under the 482 Visa Program.

Requirements:

Hold a Recognised International Trade Qualification in Mechanics (Red Seal, City and Guilds, FETAC etc)

To Hold, or be able to pass a Cert III Trade Assessment (Vetassess or other recognised body) for the Visa application

Hold an IELTS English Test Certificate (5.0 Minimum in all 4 sections), or be a citizen of UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, or New Zealan, or have been taught in English for 5 years of secondary education.

Be in a financial position to support your application, and associated costs

Be able to move to Australia as soon as your Visa is granted (preferred)
